With special guest speaker: Dr Helen Caldicott.

 

The event was a success beyond our expectations.
With approximately 100 people in the audience, GENI presented an opportunity

for individuals to make a difference with relation to renewable energy

and also an alternative to the 'ETS' (emissions trading scheme).

Dr. Caldicott then scared the living daylights out of all of us

because we were suddenly confronted with how dramatic(and guaranteed),

the dangers of the nuclear industry are.

 

To use one of Dr. Caldicott's quotes,

'Out of the global warming frypan into the nuclear fire'.

 

We hope some audience members felt empowered after her presentation.
